We're the best tour guides in Paris
I survived a week at the school with a horrible cold. I must admit that I was quite mean to the kids but they kind of deserved it too cause they weren't overly productive last week (maybe that's because I've only worked in highschools and with adults so perhaps I over-estimate the children's abilities).
Anyway Dana and Romas were here on Saturday. I was SO happy to see them. We picked them up at the airport and went directly to our place. Then we walked to the Sacre Coeur and from there we took the metro to the Eiffel Tower. We had lunch near the Eiffel Tower and then took the metro to the place Concorde. We walked up the Champs Elysees and ended by the Arc de Triomphe. Then we went back to our place and got their stuff and drove them back to the airport. I think we completely tired them out. Already they hadn't slept for hours upon hours and with all the walking we did they must have slept the whole way to Greece (if they made the flight....I was afraid that they'd fall asleep while waiting!). It was fun to show them around and to have family here. They brought me May Wests and all sorts of Reese's products....yummy yummy!
Well I guess I should get ready for work. I've slept maybe 3 hours because I coughed all through the night! The poor students are going to hate me soon! It's the last parents night tonight and then I don't have to do this ever again...Thank the Lord!
P.S. Katie might be coming to visit during the Christmas holiday! YAY!!!
