Allez les bleus!
Big news... Steve found a job!! YAY! He started this job on Monday and is now looking forward to his holiday in July (the company closes July 20th-August 20th, like most small companies since all French people are on holiday). He says his job is boring at the moment because all he does is call people but he will try to suffer through it for one year. So, basically in Steve getting this job, we have decided to stay put here in Paris for one more year (no Korea..boohoo) before we return to Canada for good in July or August 2007.
Other than that, I am still working at BTL (B-T-hell). Looking for work in elementary/secondary but my degree doesn't transfer to a French one so I have to look for someone who will accept me with 'no degree' in education....blah! or continue to work with adults....more blah! Guess I will suffer through my job for one more year too!
What else? France beat Spain in football...good game. They play Brazil this Saturday and this town is gonna go crazy. Steve and I are invited to watch the match with some friends. Should be fun. I have never been more involved in the World Cup than this year. I guess these crazy Europeans are getting to me. The Brits talk about it non-stop at BTL and all my French students talk about it at work so there's no escaping it....
Um...Rachael was suppose to come visit this weekend but the cheapest flight tickets were for the July 28th weekend so she's coming in July instead.
Steve and I are going to plan some weekends away from Paris cause this city is getting to us...all the fumes and dog poop...we can use a good trip to the country.
Finally this week the 'soldes' (aka sales) began in France so every store is selling their crap for cheap. The malls are crazy busy and I've seen line-ups (aka queues for the Brits) to get into some stores. Crazy French and their 'soldeys'.
Guess that's it. Ciao
P.S. Ad I emailed you a while ago and you haven't emailed me back....do you hate me?
