Been spending most our lives living in a gangsta's paradise

Things are going ok over here. Not up to anything overly exciting this week. I start working in two weeks which should be interesting seeing as I am working in Gangsta’s Paradise. Stève and I visited the school last week and it looks pretty scary! Security guards inside the school and all. The teacher that I am working with e-mailed me and said the kids are a little ‘difficult’ and ‘unmotivated’…I think that’s a nice way to say that they are monsters and will probably make me cry! Can’t wait…

Allumez le feu

I’m bad at blogging…sorry for all of those who actually read this blog!
So, the news......
Things are going well here in Paris. I am still living with Stève at his parents’ place. We are going to try to find something for October 1st.
I applied to 9 English schools in Paris to see if they would actually call me back and to see if teachers are in demand and so far 5 have called back to schedule interviews. Unfortunately I don’t have my schedule from my other schools (my first and more important job) so they are all waiting on that! Good to know that I am needed though!
Other than that, I am still on vacation. Stève, his family and I went to the beach the other day and we are all going away to the cottage from Friday to Monday this coming weekend. We are going to try to go to the Mont St. Michel too since it's not too far.
My friend Corinna is in Tours this week (from Germany) so I would like to see her if possible.
The bank is causing me trouble. They want to charge me 35€ for every cheque that I write to Canada so now I don’t know how to pay my loans back.
I finally have a debit card and can access the cash that I put into the bank two weeks ago (poor Stève had to keep lending me money).
Guess that’s all the news for now. I will try to update more frequently.Hope all is well back in Canada. I have been in France for almost 3 weeks now….crazy eh!
