Happy Birthday Dad

Well as all of you already know, I have arrived safely in France! The flight sucked but I'll get over it. My luggage finally arrived on Tuesday and apparently it was in Amsterdam (interesting...).
Anyway, I've been taking it easy since I got here. On Sunday, (my Birthday) I stayed here and we had a little celebration (with a cake) in the evening.
Then on Monday, Stève's mom took us to the Préfecture to get my Carte de Séjour (French visa) and so now I have to wait for them to contact me for my medical exam. Then we went to the Sécurité Sociale to see if I can get Health Insurance but I need a bunch of paperwork (ie. bank account, proof of residence, contract etc.). After all of this, Stève and I went to La Défense (business area) to look into getting a cellphone. Apparently you need proof of a bank account, a void cheque and proof of residence to get a cell. This just shows how much the French love papers!
On Tuesday, Stève had an interview in the morning so I slept until 12noon. After that Stève and I went to open a bank account since I need it for everything. We stayed home in the afternoon to wait for my traveling luggage.
On Wednesday, Stève and I went to Parc Astérix for the day. It was my Birthday present from him and his family. It's kind of like Wonderland only it's all centered around the characters from Asterix. We had a lot of fun and we were exhausted by the end of the day.
Today is my Dad's Birthday...Happy Birthday DAD! And I am working on my TESOL course to get that done. Also I am catching up on emails and stuff like that.

I have a meeting on Wednesday to meet the lady from Vitalangues (second job). Hopefully I'll have more exciting news soon such as finding an apartment or starting my job. Miss you all!

Bye Bye Bitches!

Well, it's been a fun last week in Canada. I shopped lots, gambled some and the best part....got to see the Beach Boys on Tuesday night at the SSEC here in Sarnia. Fun times! My mom, dad, Ema and I danced and sang all night long.
I watched the last Big Brother tonight that I will get to see this season. I am so mad that King Kaysar is gone. Janelle rocks and Maggie and Jennifer suck!
I am off to France tomorrow. This is my last blog from Canada. Keep in touch guys and don't forget me!

Lots of news to report:
First of all, I got my visa this Wednesday. After stressing about it for 3 weeks (thanks mom for all of your help), I finally got it! The insurance papers were ready 5 mins before closing time on Tuesday evening....cutting it close but it all worked out! Also, the woman didn't charge me for it (I think that she had a crush on me). It was my lucky day.
After my trip to Toronto (with my mommy) for my visa, I went off to Waterloo for two days. I made it to Brad's place around 4ish and we all went for dinner and then partied it up.... On Thursday we managed to see everyone (great timing, eh Brad & Jessie?). The best part of the day happened at 7:30pm when Andrew dropped Brad and I off at the Centre in the Square for a kick ass concert. KELLY CLARKSON ROCKS! Best concert ever! We rocked out with Kelly and had a blast. We tried to see her after the concert (no we are not psycho fans) with no success but we did make some cool new friends.... there are some psycho fans out there......enough said!
On Friday I slept until almost 2pm....oops! Then I got ready and was off to London for a Lisa/Maika going away party hosted by Luc and Acia. We had a lot of fun....maybe a little too much fun for some....cough...cough....Ryan! Anyway the night was awesome. Unfortunately though, I had to work today (Saturday) at 7:30am. I still managed to stay up until 3:30am. Now, I am sitting here at work, falling asleep BUT it was all worth it.
It was a GREAT week!
One more week to go and I'm off to PARIS!!!! I miss you Steve!
