Thank you for calling Citi Master Card, Maika speaking, how can I help you?

Last week I started my training at Citi Master Card as a Fraud Prevention Associate. It was a long week, Monday to Friday 9-5. Luckily this week it's Tuesday to Friday 9-5 (love those holidays!!!). I start on my own next week (Monday to Friday 11-7) and it should be interesting. Martin has been training me and Evan and we aren't getting as much time as everyone else cause he usually only trains one person at a time. So I sit around while Evan takes and makes calls and then he sits around while I take and make calls. I've also been commuting everyday from Sarnia. I actually don't mind the trip everyday cause I am used to it by now and I know the 402 so well. My only beef with commuting is that today I was stuck in traffic on my way in that I was almost late. Also I have to leave early to get a parking spot (which is good though, cause then I am not late when I am stuck in traffic...haha!).
Anyway, other than that, my life isn't all that exciting. I get home everyday at 6:15 and then I eat and watch tv. Fun!!! I should be working on my correspondance class to get my Business English TESOL Advanced Certification but I am too lazy right now...I'll get to that later.
I am graduating on June 14th from UWO and Stève will be there!!! YAY! He arrives on the 10th and will be here until July 4th. He finally gets to see Canada in the summer.
Guess that's it.

Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages

I started my TESOL course last night. It's basically a big review of teacher's college but a simpler and easier version. I am the only one that has been to teacher's college out of the 14 students in my class so it's alot easier for me. Our big project over the next five days is to present a lesson plan in another language....considering that I have done a bunch of lessons in Spanish and French, it shouldn't be that hard. So anyway, the course is five days long and so far it's quite boring. I am commuting from Sarnia everyday so that sucks.
I start my new job at Citibank in the fraud department on Monday. I train Monday to Friday from 9-5 and then I start part-time evenings/weekends. I guess that's good considering that Steve will be here from June 13th-July 4th. That should be lots of fun. We are planning on going to Wonderland and the Toronto Zoo!
I guess that's it for now! TTYL

My lucky day

Today was more eventful than usual. I slept until noon. Then I watched some tv. Ok, doesn't sound that exciting yet....just wait!!!! Then my mom and dad came home around 3:30. I waited for Ema to come home....she finally called at 5:15 for a ride home from rugby. I picked her up and we went to McDonald's for supper...yummy!! After that Ema left for some concert thing and my mom, dad and I went to the casino. My dad won $240 as soon as we got there and then he won another $55 on the $5 machines. Then we went for supper at the casino (I watched while they ate). After that, we went back to play the slots again. For some reason, I turned lucky and I won $150!!!!! Anyway, my parents ended up breaking even (they don't know when to stop) and I left with $150 in my pocket (went in with nothing....my mom had to lend me some cash!). Sweet!
Now I am just chilling in the 'cave' (a.k.a. the basement). Tomorrow we are off to the United States of America for some shopping fun!!!
Don't forget, Sunday is Mother's Day!
P.S. Who needs a job, when you've got a casino?!?!?!?!?!

Back in Sarnia.....again!

I am now living in Sarnia once again!!! I moved home on Sunday. Lucas and Acia helped me move all of my stuff out of 50 Chapman Crt., Unit 65. What a sad day!
Just a little update: last Friday I had an interview at Citibank for the Fraud department. Also that evening I went out with Melissa and Emily (friends from Citibank) and we had loads of fun. Saturday we had a mini-party at my ex-house. There were only about 10 of us but we were all celebrating something and we had a nice time. As I already stated, I moved home on Sunday. On Monday I went back to London for a second interview at Citibank and spent some time with Acia watching "Sex and the City" (we are addicted). On Tuesday I got my teeth cleaned at the dentist and I went for ice cream with Ema in the evening. Today, I slept until 12:30ish, then I lay around in my pajamas all day. I unpacked my clothes and watched a lot of tv. In the evening I went to the mall with my mom (got dressed at 5:30pm). Sarnia is a happening place!!!!
Anyway, guess that's it for my life right now. I'll keep you all updated!!!
Hi Adam!!!!
