The best prescription is knowledge (quote of the week)

Oops, haven’t blogged in a while; was busy! Anyway, I was in France from March 12th-20th which was awesome as usual. I got to see Stève and I looked around for jobs in Paris for June or September. Once I got back to Canada, things kinda went downhill. I was laid off at work (aka FIRED). And I started my last practicum (March 21st to April 15th). Actually practicum is going ok for now but I don’t like the stress of it and I don’t know whether or not my associate teacher likes me. I am teaching in a grade 7 French Immersion class. We also teach the grade 1’s for 40 minutes every other day…they are so cute! Other than that, Lisa is moving out of our place on Friday (she found a cheap sublet for the summer). We are going out on Thursday for a goodbye dinner. I am going to miss her!
I haven’t heard back from any of the France jobs that I applied for other than one for September as an English assistant in a highschool in Paris….I would rather have my own class but that’s ok for now. It’s a start. I also heard back from London, England for supply teaching from May-July. Still thinking about that one…
Other news: Adam got ‘the call’ from the RCMP, meaning that he will be leaving for his training on April 17th (to Regina, Saskatchewan) and his session goes until October. Boohoo! We will miss you Ad! Who is going to fix my computer? Or pick me up from London?
Also Natalija got a contract to go back to Kananaskis, Alberta for 6 months from May-November so she will be leaving at the end of April too. I think that my mom is going to be very sad….Ema too!!!!
Anyway, I guess that’s it for now. I have to go and prepare some lessons! Fun times….
