Here's my beef...

Ok so I had my second adult night course tonight. There are officially 14 people enrolled in my class and 3 of them were first timers tonight. One guy is really really annoying...do adults need to hear the sound of the voice all the time? Another woman cannot pronounce the letter 'p' or the letter 'r'. Example, Printemps=bintemps and numéro=numébo. What is with the 'b'? Do you hear a 'b', cause I don't!
Anyway other than that, Allison, Tony and Brad came to London this weekend...finally! We went out for lunch and then cruised around London. Fun times!
This week is off to a bad start cause I am getting sick. Today it's the throat-ear combination that is killing me. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
Finally February 3rd is the big day....I have three major assignments due then. Guess I should start working on them soon.

A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops

This week just flew by!!! Holy crap! On Monday I had to cancel my adult French class because of the snowstorm so I had the night off but spent most of my night working on my resume. Then on Tuesday I went to school for a few hours and then worked 1-9. On Wednesday I had class until 2pm and then I went to work. After work, Renee, Emily and I went out to ‘Old Chicago’s’ for salsa night. Israel came out for about an hour. We were there until 2am. On Thursday I missed my first two classes but made it to school for my 1pm class. I had class until 4 and then I worked 5-9. Emily drove me home! Thanks Em! Then today, I went to a job fair at school and out to Swiss Chalet for lunch with Israel, Dana, Carla and Candice (all members of the Franco-Hispanic club). Then Israel and I went shopping and then we went to work. Emily drove me home again tonight...Thanks Em! Tomorrow, Allison and Tony are sleeping over....should be loads of fun. On Sunday, Brad and Nikki are going to come by and join us. I can’t wait!!!!
There’s the update folks!

Where is everybody? Hello......anybody home?

Quick update since I should be doing my homework. Acia’s lung collapsed again today (it collapsed early last week and she had surgery to fix it and now it’s happened again) so she will be going into surgery tomorrow morning. It is gonna be hard for her to keep up with her work (she’s in a Masters/PhD program in Clinical Psychology). I still don’t know exactly what is going on because I got home from work and the house was empty. I checked the messages and there were two for Lucas asking about Acia and then Acia’s mom called. I was actually cursing everyone who had a car (all of my roommates) because my half hour wait at the bus stop was quite cold today (I lost my mittens….do you know where they are Stève?) but now I feel bad for thinking mean things. Oops!
As for other news, Ashlie, my WATERLOO friend is coming to visit this weekend. We have a lot of catching up to do. She also felt bad for me cause my other Waterloo friends cancelled on me. It must be said though, that Tony has fixed the situation. He took the matter into his own hands and has set a date (Jan 22nd/23rd) when the Waterloo gang will visit. He is now officially the “Event Planner”….you got the boot Allison!
Did you know that the sentence: 'The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.' contains every letter of the alphabet…..

What a surprise....Allison, Brad and Tony can't come to visit me

It’s Monday--- enough said! Thought I would update my blog since I have some time right now (procrastinating!!!). Ok so today I taught my first class of my “Adult Beginner French Course”. It’s a 13 week session course and I have 12 adults in my class (only 11 showed up tonight!). Anyway I was really nervous but everything turned out fine. The adults were really nice and they really want to learn French. For once I am teaching people that want to be there and want to learn - what a change from grades 9 and 10 French and Spanish! Anyway, I just got home, phoned my mom and emailed Stève and now I am trying to relax cause I have a huge headache (stress!!!). Should get some homework done……

Brad, did you get the new Kelly Clarkson cd? It rocks!

Second semester is well underway. I have a lot of work to do right now cause I had three full year courses and everything is due in January or February, so I will be working hard for the next few weeks. I have the same teacher for French, Spanish and French Immersion and there are three of us in all of those classes. I am getting sick of seeing that Prof all the time. Oh well!
Other news, I went to work yesterday for the first time in two weeks. None of my logins for the computer would work. I had to call the help desk 4 times. All the people that called in last night were super grumpy so by the end of the night I was in a bad mood and just wanted to get out. Nick, my boss, gave me quite a few shifts for the next little while cause they are pretty busy but luckily I only work until 9pm now so I don’t have to take the bus as late anymore. Yay!
Allison said that she is going to come and visit me soon with Tony and Brad….we’ll see if that happens! Haha!
Pete, Lisa’s boyfriend has decided to stay in London for a month or so and he is living at our place now too. So there are five of us there. Acia, Lucas’s gf that moved in before Christmas is really sick. She went to the doctor’s because of chest pain and they told her that she had a collapsed lung so she had surgery. Lots of drama at the house!
Guess that’s it!
