Procrastibation ain't my middle name no more....

Ok well a lot has happened since I last blogged. Yesterday I found out that I have a job at Citibank as a verifier (I will be verifying mastercard applications). I start tomorrow 4-9pm. What a relief! Um...I actually handed in my computers assignment 3 days early....what a nerd! But I had it finished and so I got rid of it. Yesterday night I finished my 6 page French Inductive Lesson (thanks Steve for correcting it)--- it's due tomorrow so it was done a day early. Tonight I finished my media assignment, my media proposal and my media presentation (all are due on Thursday) so once again....two days early! What is happening? Well, then again I have a Spanish test tomorrow and I haven't started studying yet and I have a Social Foundations paper due Thursday.....but I am improving....don't ya think?
Other than that, I think that I may be getting sick cause I have a sore throat. I probably contracted a virus at the ghetto school that I went to on Friday....please don't make me go back again this Friday!!! PLEASE!!! Um....I talked to Steve on the phone today cause I had a four hour break. That's about it.
Ok it wasn't that much but honestly it feels like I haven't stopped yet! Peace out

We shopped until Adam dropped!

So guess what....k I'll tell ya, I got accepted for a credit card. Who accepts someone that never pays their bills? Western Credit Card does....haha! So my mom and Adam came down today and my mom brought my mail (along with other stuff). I thought that we were just going to go out for lunch and stuff but once I opened my mail and came across a credit card, we headed to the mall. I spent $400 on clothes and a briefcase. Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha! Suckers!

Bonjour....no wait....Buenos Dias!

Hmmmm.....What to write? Ok well yesterday I went back to highschool....boy has it ever changed! The kids were really rude and mean but I am going to be strict when I start teaching. Zero tolerance for anything!!!! Got it? So anyway other than that I have been completely dead -tired all week. Getting up at 6 everyday and staying at school for 11 hours at a time is exhausting. Also I had a 2 hour job interview on Thursday and I was out almost every night getting things ready for Friday (ie. went to the mall to buy pants, went back to the mall to get pants hemmed, picked up pants!!!) and to finish the week off, I went out with some gals and.....drank! Actually when I got back from my drinking excursion, I came home to my two 'housemates' who had waited up for me and who were completely drunk. We ended up drinking and talking until 4 in the morning. Today has been pretty painful. I woke up at 11:30, talked to Dana and then to Steve. Then I attempted to work. Fell asleep. Dana came over at 6 to work on our computer assignment and she just left half an hour ago (it's 11:00 now). Tomorrow my mom and Adam are coming to visit (and to bring me some of my stuff that I left in Sarnia) and then I have a lot of work to do (two projects, one test, one presentation and a proposal this week.....ahhh). Did I mention that I hate school? And I am going to be a teacher!!!!!! Enough said!

Obla dee obla da life goes on - La, la, la, la, la, life goes on

Ok I should be studying for my French test (why I have a grammar test at teacher's college after obtaining a degree in French is beyond me but anyway I have one) but I am procrastinating as usual. Actually I just wanted to write a quick blog to update you all on my life. Monday I had 3 classes with two hours in between each so I spent my breaks.....studying haha ya right.....talking with my friends. I actually discovered a lot about school and people. So that was cool.
Today I went to class for only 2 hours but I had a nice four hour break in between so I went to a job placement agency to drop off my resume and then I came home to talk to Steve on the phone. After class I went to the mall with Reena to get my pants hemed, came home and went to Kelseys to meet some friends. It was Reena's roommate Shirine's Birthday so we went for dinner along with 6 other people from teacher's college and one of the girls brought her boyfriend (poor guy). So that was a fun night.
Now as I said I have to study but first I am going to run to the corner store to get bread, milk and coke cans. Fun times!

The Weekend....dum dum dum......

This weekend was....weird, I guess! On Friday I had to go to a meeting at 9 about my placement and then to two workshops about unions and boring stuff. The meeting went well and I even managed to find a carpool even though my school is really close. Two girls offered to drive me so the three of us will go together and they will take turns driving....cool! One of the girls that is carpooling with me, Nadia, asked me if I wanted to go out next weekend to hit up the bars in London and I barely even know her but considering that I don't have many friends here....I think that I'll go! Anyway I went to Reena's place in between the two workshops for lunch. She is so funny. I got back from school around 3pm and Tali called to say that she was on a bus heading in my direction. I went to meet her and we came back here so that she can check out the place. After that we went to Swiss Chalet for supper and then to the mall to look for nice clothes for me cause I have to wear formal attire next Friday when I meet my associate teacher...ahh! We came back here and she met my housemates and we all sat around and talked (Lucas' girlfriend Jolanda and his friend Rich were here too).
On Saturday Tali left around 10am. I went back to my bed but I watched dvds until 1pm. Then I showered and watched tv all afternoon. In the evening, Lucas, Lisa, Rich, Jolanda and I had a steak dinner courtesy of Lucas. Then we sat around and drank and some more people came by. We went for a drive along 'the strip' as they call it and then we came back here. I was in bed around 1am.
Today I got up around 11am and walked to the school....that's right, I walked! Then I caught the bus to the mall. I spent about two hours there looking for pants. Anyway, I got two pairs and a nice sweater. Then I came back here, watched a dvd and talked to Allison. I am suppose to be reading but I am procrastinating instead.
I have to look for a job this week....again! Nobody wants to hire me so I am going to try to get a job at Tim Hortons or Zellers. I really don't care at this point cause I need money!
That's the update!

Gitchy gitchy ya ya da da

Today was an unusual day. I had class from 9-10, 1-2, 2-3 and 4-6 so basically in and out all day! I got back around 7, Lucas came home around 7:30 (that's a first!) and Lisa came home around 8 so we were all home for once. We actually sat around for about an hour just talking and then we took a cruise to Dairy Queen and had some blizzards. While at Dairy Queen, Natalija called to tell me that she is coming to visit tomorrow. Fun times! My boring London life actually isn't so boring for once! So anyway I got home from DQ, talked to my mommy and now I am talking to Steve on msn. What a good day!
P.S. Brad, you better be scared. They are taking over....

If I had a million dollars.....

Ok so I am back to one housemate cause Lucas has gone back for 'sloppy seconds' as Lisa calls it! He told us not to tell anyone that him and his girlfriend broke up cause he told his girlfriend that he didn't tell anyone....if that makes sense! Anyway today was yet another productive day for me. I went to school from 8-2 and then I went to the Masonville Mall to look for jobs. I handed out about 8 resumes so we'll see what happens. The weirdest thing about my trip to the mall is that I met a girl, Jessica on the bus who I hadn't seen since we were both in France. I knew that she went to Western but I thought she was done. Anyway we talked all the way until her stop about France and life so that was cool....but weird!
Also today at school all the talk was about our placements. Apparently I am the luckiest one cause most people are anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour out of town. Everyone is jealous of me....for once I had luck on my side! I can't believe it. Maybe the curse has been lifted????
That's it for today!
P.S. Adam, I actually heard a girl use the word 'operative' in a conversation on the bus today (funny how I put that in my blog title last time and how we also thought that only Gretchen used that word)

Here is some news...NEWS being the operative word

Ok so now I realize that Steve and my family read this blog so I will keep you guys updated (although you already know what's going on). So Lisa is now living here for good. She actually comes home every night so it's cool cause she is really nice and we get along very well. Last night Lucas came home for the first time in a week but I only saw him this morning cause he came home way passed my bedtime. This morning all three of us were up and showered before 8 (no, we didn't all shower together...haha!). Anyway Lucas told me that he broke up with his girlfriend last night and that he will be around more often now....weird! So now I went from living completely alone to living with 1 and a half people (half because Lucas hasn't come home yet today cause Lisa said that he is drinking his life away tonight so he only counts as half).
Other news, I got my first practicum placement today. I will be teaching at Oakridge Secondary School in the Thames Valley District School Board right here in London. It's actually not that far from my place but Lisa has already offered to drive me in when I have to teach (that's if we are still friends by then!). Apparently I will be teaching French and Spanish to different grade levels (everybody else was assigned to only one of their teachables and was given a grade level but I guess the teacher that I am with does all levels of both Spanish and French).
I talked to Lisa Kulczycki last night (a girl that I went to elementary school and highschool with). We talked for a long time and she filled me in on what is going on in London these days. She should be coming by next week to visit. That will be cool!
Other than that, Waterloo was really fun this weekend. Hopefully I will get a chance to go back sometime soon or people will come and visit me here!
Guess that's it for the news!
Oh ya one more thing....Adam, Natalija and Ema, the third dvd from my ER season 2 that you guys got me for my Birthday doesn't work. I hope you guys kept the receipt! I need it changed fast cause I am suffering from withdrawal.

Hello?

Does anyone even read this anymore other than Steve? Nobody leaves comments which I assume means that nobody reads this anymore. If that is the case then I don't need to use this blog anymore cause I already talk to Steve by email and phone!

Blah, blah, blah

So, London is not all that it's cracked up to be. It's quite quiet around school and the neighbourhood at the moment. It should pick up next week cause all the other students will be back (they haven't started yet and teacher's college has....that sucks for us). Also I don't know the city that well yet and I haven't really been downtown....maybe that's the place to be (Downtown where all the lights are bright....Downtown waiting for you tonight.....). I am thinking of going to Waterloo this weekend....it's either that or sit in my room and continue watching season 2 of ER. Don't get me wrong... I love ER but I've watched 12 episodes so far this week and they are each 45 minutes long. You can just imagine how many hours I've spent sitting in my room! (I watched season 1 in France last year and just ask Rachael how fast I went through that one!). Actually I also have Dawson's Creek seasons 1 and 2 to watch as well. Unfortunately though, I have school work to do too and it's a priority....cough.....cough! Anyway this blog was boring.....sorry! I could have just summed it up as: London=boring so far, going to Waterloo, love ER!

School's out for summer! School's out forever....I wish

Well I'm officially living in London now. Lucas is never around so basically I am living on my own. I just installed the internet today (after quite the adventure) so I should be able to stay in touch with everyone now. Actually that's not true cause I got 3 course outlines (out of 7) so far and it seems that this year will be full of presentations, essays, tests, practice teaching, lesson plans, assignments and examinations. I don't really know anyone yet but I am trying to make friends at school......luckily I am so nice and likeable that I know I will have a million friends in no time! Tomorrow I am starting my job search considering I will be forking out a nice $700 in books this year and also I had to pay a heafty tuition bill. What a life! When is this school thingy over?

Moving Day

This afternoon I am moving to London for good. Adam and I brought my stuff up on Saturday and today they are dropping me off.......Ahhhh Don't make me go! Anyway I start school tomorrow so that should keep my busy and I will be off looking for a job in my spare time.......better take the map! I am activating my cell phone tonight so I will let you all know my new number and I will let you all know my address once I ask Lucas.......I forgot on Saturday! I should have internet today if all goes well with the installation. Guess that's it.
Bye bye Sarnia!

Happy Fake Birthday to me!

Today was my 'fake' Birthday party cause I wasn't here for my real Birthday. Only 5 people attended my party (Mom, Dad, Adam, Natalija and Ema) but we had a lot of fun. I got ER season 2 on dvd and Simple Life season 1. I also got a computer chair and 150 dollars. Actually this morning I left to go to London for my orientation/registration which was so boring!!! I am moving on Saturday.....ahhhh! Nothing else is new here. Ema and I just watched 'Mean Girls' and I am going to bed soon cause I am still jet lagged and I am super tired.

It's almost school time.......

My life has been quite uneventful since my return to Canada. My days have been spent watching tv, eating and sleeping. I am off to London tomorrow for my orientation/registration even though the school keeps sending me notices saying that I don't have all the paperwork done so I don't even know if I will be allowed to go to Western! Oh well. To tell you the truth I don't want to go anyway.....but I know that I have to go so I plan on spending my time at school, work and in Waterloo or Sarnia cause London is full of spoiled brats who spend their time oogling their goodies. Anyway I move in to my place on Saturday and I am going back to Sarnia until Monday night. Guess that's it for now.
